Polpitiya–Padukka 220kV Transmission Project

Mavisuru delivered a comprehensive transmission engineering package for the Polpitiya–Padukka 220kV corridor, including survey-based alignment validation, foundation design for 79 towers, erection engineering coordination, and full stringing analysis. Terrain-profile modeling and load-case verification were applied to optimize tower spotting and structural performance, ensuring clearance compliance and constructability. Sag–tension analysis and stringing documentation were developed using PLS-CADD to support safe and efficient conductor installation.

Padukka–Athurugiriya 220kV Transmission Project

Provided engineering support for OPGW and earth wire integration within an operational 220kV system. Scope included structural capacity assessment of existing towers, sag recalculation under revised loading conditions, clearance verification, and preparation of construction stringing documentation to ensure system integrity and compliance.

Polpitiya–Hambantota 220kV Transmission Project

Delivered detailed structural foundation engineering across varied geotechnical conditions. Load-case validation, uplift and stability analysis, and optimized reinforcement detailing were carried out to ensure structural reliability while maintaining cost-efficient foundation solutions.

Grid Interconnection for 50MW Solar Farm Gonnoruwa-Hambantota

Delivered detailed transmission engineering design for transmission line connecting a 50MW solar power plant in Gonnoruwa to the Hambantota 33kV Grid Substation. The scope included route alignment validation across mixed terrain, conductor selection, pole spotting, sag–tension modeling, and structural verification using PLS-CADD. Advanced Carbon Fiber Core conductors were incorporated to improve thermal performance and reduce sag, ensuring reliable power evacuation, mechanical stability, and compliance with applicable industry standards.

Other Projects

Executed foundation engineering for 40 high-voltage transmission towers along a long-distance corridor. Designs were adapted to soil variability and terrain conditions while maintaining required safety factors and long-term structural integrity.

Provided engineering and execution support for new tower installation and dismantling of existing structures. Scope included load-case adjustments, structural verification, and clearance revalidation to ensure safe integration of the upgraded transmission segment.

Undertook PLS-CADD–based sag–tension modeling and stringing design for a 50km double-circuit corridor. Wind and temperature load scenarios were analyzed to ensure compliance with clearance standards and mechanical performance requirements across the transmission route.

Delivered transmission engineering support across terrain-sensitive sections, including foundation coordination, erection validation, and clearance compliance verification under varying elevation and loading conditions.

Provided structural foundation design and erection engineering support across multiple 132kV transmission packages. Designs incorporated soil-adapted optimization, reinforcement detailing, and construction-ready documentation to support efficient site execution

Mavisuru provided initial design and detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) preparation for the Risk ASSURE Project in the Maldives for the bidding purpose of our client Energy China. The scope included preliminary alignment assessment, structural concept development, loading validation, and preparation of design documentation to support cost estimation and project planning.
